A fixture of the Lowell National Historical Park, Boott Cotton Mills Museum features exhibits and video programs about the Industrial Revolution, and the torpid history of labor and industry in the town of Lowell. Its primary attraction is a roaring, 1920s-era cotton weave room with functioning power looms. The Museum lies about 25 miles north of Boston, near the Western Lawrence Wasteway Canal.
